This piece is painted from a photo I took while traveling Europe several years ago. I loved the architecture of the train station and the scale of the figures and how the light almost made them disappear on the outer edges. This past year has forced us all to reevaluate our priorities, maintain our distance from one another and put our travel plans on hold. The figures in this piece are all moving in different directions to unknown destinations. I believe we all feel a little like this after the lockdown. Unsure of the future holds, what our ultimate destination may be and yet hopeful....
