What would it have been like to belong to a pioneer family during the gold rush? Bodie, CA is a remnant of this past. I couldn't help putting myself in the place of the family that must have moved west in this wagon hoping and dreaming of a good life together in a new frontier. I love the contrast of shapes in this scene with the wagon's wheels so prominent against the sharp lines of perspective in the buildings behind it.
